Wikipedia uses some numbers to describe the Grand Canyon as the section above shows. There is more to tell besides these numbers. For example, the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel is really worth a visit.

I always want to have a hike in any of the national parks. I bumped into a video about the Grand Canyon on YouTube one day which inspired me to add the trip into my bucket list. I couldn’t transport you there immediately, but we can do some e-travel now.

The Grand Canyon Railway is based out of Williams, Arizona. The city is about 2 hours drive from Phoenix and over one hour from Sedona along the famous Route 66. You would love Williams, Arizona if you enjoy delicious old ice cream. Apart from ice cream, you can also pay some time walking down the main street to find some local events or venues you are interested in.

Once you arrived the town, you would be more than happy to ditch your car. It’s where you start your train ride. The trains leave Williams for the Grand Canyon every day at 9:30 a.m.. If you missed the morning train, you could stay in the comfortable Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.

Actually you can choose the packages which not just include some kind of transportation that bring you to the Grand Canyon but also your hotel stay at the Grand Railway Hotel. Fresh fruit, yogurt, French toast, sausage, biscuits and omelet, breakfast buffet give you an energetic morning.

The hotel is family friendly and you can grab your kids there without any trouble. You kids would love the outdoor playground and some local street show about western cowboys. You can enjoy the indoor heat pool and even some hot tubs.

The most absorbing thing about the trip is riding the railway train from where you get the best view of the magnificent Grand Canyon. While you immersed yourself in the moving landscape, some robbers wearing cowboy costumes might take your thing away from you. Don’t worry. It is a funny plot designed to entertain you. Music is another thing making the ride unique. Some musicians sing old-west songs along with banjos, accordions. People can’t help doing chicken dance when the happy music starts.

Many guests of the train enjoy the trip because it liberates you from the tasks of navigating and parking. You have more valuable time to focus on your family or friends. The two-hour journey takes you past rivers, forests, and brushy pastures.

The train may drop you off along the railway. You can have a short outdoor hike there. If you get tired, there is a free shuttle can bring you back to the train depot.

As for the price, the same day round-trip train only prices start from $70 for adult and $40 for child. If you want to stay longer, there are more packages to match your needs. For more details, visit the Grand Canyon Railway’s website.
